현재 DMB 교육채널에서 “오석태의 파워 스피킹”, 교통방송에서 “오석태의 영어 두 마디”, Winglish.com에서는 “스크린 영어”를 인기리에 진행하고 있으며, 경향신문에는 “오석태의 스크린 영어”를 연재 중이다.

Based on his experiences of studying French in Korea and studying linguistics and learning methods in his time as a master and a doctor, he is developing a learning method in which Koreans can easily learn a foreign language. 중국 4대 명문대학 중 하나인 남개대학교(Nan Kai Univ.)에서 한중한자어휘비교 전공으로 석사학위를 취득하고, 같은 대학에서 현대중국어 어휘 및 의미학 전공으로 박사학위를 취득했다. 귀국 후, 한국외국어대학교, 명지대학교, 강남대학교, 장안대학교, 명지전문대학 등에서 중국어와 중국문화를 강의했다. 주 연구 방향은 한중어휘 및 문법 대조연구, 중국어어휘연구, 중국어어휘에 내포된 문화연구, 한국 학생들의 어휘 및 문법오류분석연구, 중국어문법연구, 중국어교육연구, 한중번역연구 등이며, 특히 중국어 어휘를 평생 연구해온 전문가 중의 전문가이다.

He obtained a master’s degree in Korean-Chinese lexical comparison from Nan Kai Univ., One of the top four universities in China, and obtained his doctorate in modern Chinese vocabulary and semantics in the same university. After returning to Korea, he taught Chinese and Chinese culture at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Myongji University, Kangnam University, Chang An University, Myungji College. 한국 외국어대학교에서 한국어와 영어를 전공. 대학 졸업 후 7년간 종로 외국어학원에서 초보자들의 영어 실력 향상을 위해 무진장 땀 흘리며 자신만의 영어 노하우를 개발하였다. 이후 1988년 KBS FM Radio를 통해 방송계에 입문한 그는 MBC Radio, CBS Radio를 거쳐서 1990년 SBS TV 아침 생활영어 진행자로 발탁되어 방송영어 스타로 자리매김하게 된다. 1992년부터는 한국을 방문하는 외국 가수들의 기자회견 통역을 전담하면서 팝송과 영화에 대한 자신의 관심을 영어에 접목시켜 팝송 영어전문가, 팝 칼럼니스트 등으로 입지를 굳건히 했다.
현재 DMB 교육채널에서 “오석태의 파워 스피킹”, 교통방송에서 “오석태의 영어 두 마디”, Winglish.com에서는 “스크린 영어”를 인기리에 진행하고 있으며, 경향신문에는 “오석태의 스크린 영어”를 연재 중이다.

For 7 years after graduating from college, Jongno Foreign Language Institute developed its own English know ? how in order to improve beginner ‘s English ability. In 1988, he entered the broadcasting industry through KBS FM Radio. He became MBC Radio and CBS Radio in 1990 and became a broadcasting English star in SBS TV.
