이 책은 기초를 쌓는다고 엄청난 양의 이론을 외우게 하지 않았습니다. 초급자에게 그렇게 많은 이론이 필요하지도 않을뿐더러 외운다고 해도 문제에 적용되지 않으면 아무 소용이 없기 때문이죠. 이 책은 초급 토이커가 700점을 넘기기 위해 꼭 필요한 알짜배기 이론만 한 페이지 내외로 간략하게 담았습니다.
1. An introductory book that makes you feel fun to solve problems!
When We were planning this book, we interviewed more than 100 beginners. Even though most of the examinees remembered the famous theorem that they liked all day, we were troubled because the problem was not solved. What does it mean to memorize only the theory that does not apply to the problem? It is important to learn the theory, but learning the “problem-solving theory” is the reason for learning. So, in this book, we focused on studying the theory that applied to the real world. If you just follow the process of this book, you will be able to enjoy the fun of the beginner toy as well, and expect a big score improvement in a short period of time.

이 책은 초급 수험생들이 이론만 학습하기 보다는 문제 푸는 능력을 키우는데 초점을 맞추었습니다. 시나공이 제안하는 풀이법을 통해 문제를 푸는 감을 잡고, 그 문제에서 필요한 이론이 무엇인지를 알아가는 순서로 구성했습니다. 거기에 실전 문제를 추가적으로 풀면서 배운 이론과 풀이법 적용해 보도록 했습니다.
2. Solving problems and learning the theory!
This book focuses on developing the ability to solve problems rather than learning only theories. We took a sense of solving the problem through the synopsis proposed by Sinaeong, and organized the sequence to learn what the theory needed for the problem. In addition, we tried to solve the problem by adding the theory and the application of the theory.
3. Explanation of the tedious theory NO! Only the core theory that leads directly to the solution of the problem is learned!
This book did not let you memorize a huge amount of theories to build a foundation. Beginner readers do not need so much theory, and it is useless if they do not apply to the problem, even if they recite it. This book briefly covers only one page of essential exhaust theory that is essential for beginners to cross 700 points.

1998년에 YBM시사어학원에서 토익 강의로 첫 발을 디딘 저자는 데뷔 1년 만에 강남에서 토익 강자로 이름을 떨치며 각종 언론에 소개되었다. 최초로 종로 YBM 시사 어학원 본원으로 스카우트 되면서 토익 시장을 석권하였고 지금까지 20권이 넘는 토익 책을 출간했다. 15년 간의 방대한 토익 기출문제 데이터베이스를 바탕으로한 통찰력과 분석력으로 토익책을 집필하는데, 그 중에서도 시험에 나오는 것만 찍어주는 최고의 적중률로 유명하다. 그의 강의는 잡다한 이론은 빼고 시험에 나오는 내용만 ‘문제 풀이 위주’로 하는 것이 특징이다.
The author, who made his first step into TOEIC lecture at YBM Sisa Language School in 1998, was introduced to various media in the name of TOEIC in Gangnam in his first year of his debut. He was the first to be scouted by Jongno YBM Sisa Language School and won the TOEIC market. He has published more than 20 TOEIC books so far. It is an RC veteran lecturer who has been in the TOEIC lecture for more than 10 years, and has rich knowledge and know-how by analyzing the tendency to examine the direct TOEIC every month for 10 years. In Part 5 and 6, we added formalized problem solving skills along with a basic explanation to reduce mistakes. 엄대섭(Um, Daeseop)
YBM 전국 수강생 수 1위 ‘급상승 토익 팀’ 강사로, 2016년 시행된 신(新)토익을 전국 최초로 강의했다. 15년 동안 토익을 강의하며 매회 정기 토익의 출제 경향을 꼼꼼히 분석하고 다음 시험을 예측하여 적중률 높은 자료를 축적해왔다. 그 자료를 바탕으로 문제를 만들고 현장 강의처럼 생생한 해설을 실어, 혼자서 공부하는데 최적화된 “시나공 혼자서 끝내는 토익 실전 모의고사”를 집필했다.
As a lecturer of the “rising TOEIC team” who ranked No. 1 in the number of YBM students nationwide, he lectured for the first time in the nation for the new TOEIC in 2016.
