1974년에 일본 도쿄에서 태어났으며 대학에서 철학을 전공했다. 국가공인 보육교사 자격증을 취득한 뒤 도쿄도 내 공립 어린이집에서 10년간 근무했고 2009년에 둘째 딸이 태어나면서 ‘보육교사 아빠의 육아일기’ 블로그를 운영하기 시작했다. 아이의 성장 일기, 아이를 효과적으로 다루는 법, 부모와 자녀의 소통법 등을육아 정보와 보육교사를 하면서 느낀 점들을 함께 올리자 엄마들 사이에서 큰 화제가 되었고, 블로그를 통해 5년간 2천 건 이상의 육아 상담을 했을 정도로 육아 고민 해결사로서 큰 인기를 얻었다.
