The author is the father of three sisters and the city farmer of the tenth year. He grew up in the valley of Gangwon – do, but he had never raised a lettuce. He started farming in a small kitchen garden in front of the city and home. Now, after several trials and errors, He is now working on 500 square meters garden alone.
The author majored in computer programming and took a picture of all the crops with care and detail, and recorded the farming process and know-how on the ‘dream garden’ blog. The responses of blog neighbors were very hot, and they were selected as 2013 ? 2014 Naver Power Blog.
It is the mind of a person who wants to start farming and to be beautiful and strong. He poured all my know-how into this one book to protect the hearts of novice farmers.

“검은 눈물, 석유”를 쓰면서 언젠가는 원자력도 다뤄 보고 싶었습니다. 원자력은 석탄과 석유를 잇는 인류 제3의 에너지이니까요. 2011년, 후쿠시마 원자력 사고라는 대형 참사가 일어났고, 원자력 발전소에 대해 좀 더 심도 있게 공부하게 되었습니다. 어린이들에게도 원자력에 대해 조금이나마 알려 주고 싶어서 이 책을 썼습니다.

여러 동화 작가들의 모임인 우리누리는 어린이의 눈빛으로 꿈이 담긴 다양한 책을 기획, 집필하고 있습니다. 교양과 생각의 폭을 넓혀 주는 아동 도서를 통해 이 땅의 주역으로서 갖춰야 할 자질을 심어 주고자 하는 것이 우리누리의 큰 바람입니다. 그동안 우리누리에서 쓴 책으로는 “소중한 우리것 재미난 우리 이야기 시리즈”, “우리 역사 박물관 전집”, “이야기로 만나는 GoGo 지식박물관 시리즈”, “아빠 법이 뭐예요” 등이 있습니다.

‘Woorinuri’ is a group of various fairy talent writers. They are planning and writing various books with dreams in the eyes of children. It is their great desire to instill the qualities that should be equipped as a protagonist of this land through the children’s books which broaden the range of culture and thought. In the meantime, they have written a book titled “We are precious, our series of funny stories”, “the whole history museum of our history”, “the GoGo knowledge museum series to meet with stories”.

전라남도 고흥에서 태어났습니다. 세종대학교 회화과를 거쳐 프랑스 스트라스부르 고등장식미술학교를 졸업했습니다. 프랑스에서 16년 동안 조각가로, 만화가로 활동하면서 100권이 넘는 한국 만화책을 프랑스어로 번역해 널리 알렸습니다.

Geum Sook Kim was born in Goheung, Jeollanamdo. After graduating from Painting Department of Sejong University, the author graduated from Strasbourg Higher School of Decorative Arts. During 16 years as a sculptor and comic artist in France, Kim has translated more than 100 Korean comic books into French.
