이 책에서는 콘셉트에 따라 통과된 캘리그라피와 버려진 캘리그라피를 함께 볼 수 있게 정리했습니다. 조형적으로 훌륭한 글씨라도 콘셉트에 맞지 않으면 못 쓴 글씨로 버려지고, 어수룩한 글씨라도 콘셉트를 잘 표현하면 통과되는 모습을 살피며 실무 작업 과정을 헤아려 보세요. 상품 패키지부터 간판 상호까지 익숙하게 봐 왔던 제품과 광고에 들어있는 캘리그라피에 어떤 시안이 작업되었고, 어떻게 수정되었는지, 수많은 시행착오와 발전 과정을 소개합니다. 단순히 통과된 디자인만 보고 넘어갈 것이 아니라 왜 그런 글씨를 썼는가에 대한 이해와 그에 따른 평가의 시간을 가지는 게 중요합니다. 또 직접 클라이언트 입장이 되어 버려진 디자인을 재평가하는 것도 이 책을 보는 재미를 더할 것입니다.
What is the difference between the calligraphy passed in a practical project?
Calligraphy, which uses emotions, facial expressions, voices, and shapes as motifs to find suitable fonts, is an important criterion for well-written and unwritten letters, apart from the basic formativeness.
In this book, you can see the calligraphy passed and the abandoned calligraphy according to the concept. Try to work out practical work by looking at how good formative text is written if it doesn’t fit the concept, and passing even if it’s cluttered. We introduce a number of trials and errors and developments, including how drafts have been worked out and how they have been corrected in the products and advertisements that we have been familiar with, from product packages to signboards. It is important not only to pass through the designs that have been passed, but to have a time to understand why they wrote such letters and to evaluate them accordingly. Also, being a client directly and reassessing the abandoned design will make the book more fun.

왕은실 캘리그라피 대표로, 원광대학교 순수미술 서예학과를 졸업했습니다. 필묵에서 책임강사 및 작가(2006~2011)로 활동하였고, 현재 한국캘리그래피디자인협회(KCDA) 전문 위원으로 활동하고 있습니다.
현대적인 감각과 다양한 필체를 이용해 다양한 광고 및 상품 캘리그래피를 작업하였고, 왕은실일기展 외 15회의 전시를 열었습니다. 저서로는 “감정의 숲”(2013)이 있으며, 월간 “WEB”에서 손글씨 관련 기고를 하였습니다.
한양대학교, 성균관대학교, 원광대학교, 숭의여자대학교, 왕왕교실 등에서 캘리그래피 기초부터 전시까지, 콘셉트에 맞게 감정을 표현하는 글씨를 쓰는 방법을 교육하고 있습니다.
She is a graduate of Wonkwang University Fine Art Calligraphy Department as a representative of Wang Silicography. She has been working as a lecturer and writer (2006 ~ 2011) at Pilguk. Currently, she is a professional committee member of Korea Calligraphy Design Association (KCDA).
She has worked on various advertising and product calligraphy using modern sense and various handwriting. In her book “Forest of Emotions” (2013), she contributed handwriting to “WEB” monthly.
The author teaches how to write letters expressing emotions according to the concept, from the beginning of calligraphy to the exhibition at Hanyang University, Sungkyunkwan University, Wonkwang University, Sungkyunkwan University and the Wang Wang classroom.
오문석(Oh, Moonseok)
왕은실 캘리그라피 작가로, 한국시각정보디자인협회(VIDAK) 회원으로 활동하고 있습니다. 웃기展 외 3회의 전시를 열었으며, 단순히 멋지고 아름다운 필체를 구사하는 것을 넘어 생각과 감정을 캘리그래피에 담고자 작업하고 있습니다. 삼성 갤럭시 노트, 한나라당 슬로건, NH농협생명, 청하 Dry 등 대형 프로젝트를 작업하였습니다.
He is a member of the Korea Visual Information Design Association (VIDAK). The author has held three exhibitions and is working on putting thought and emotions into calligraphy beyond simply stylish and beautiful handwriting. Samsung Galaxy Note, Grand National Party slogan, NH NACF Life, and Cheongha Dry.
